Sanjay Dholakia most recently served as the CMO of Marketo for nearly five years, leading the marketing department through the company’s worldwide expansion and IPO. He joined Marketo through the acquisition of social software company Crowd Factory, where as CEO he was responsible for the strategic direction and vision of the company. Before joining Crowd Factory, Sanjay was CMO at Lithium Technologies, the leading provider of customer community solutions. Prior to joining Lithium, Sanjay served as SVP and general manager for SumTotal Systems, helping to scale the business to a public company. Dholakia began his career as an advisor at McKinsey & Company and Andersen Consulting.
Sanjay holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in strategy and marketing from the JL Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
